There's nothing quite as cute as a panda. The World Health Organization knows this. Why else do you think a lot of their commercials feature these giant, cuddly balls of black and white fur? If you want to leverage some of that trademark panda cuteness this Halloween, then you're going to need a panda costume.

A panda outfit may not be a weapon that you'll usually in the arsenal of costume ideas for men, but it can prove to be a great way to break the ice and call some attention to yourself. Since a panda's color scheme is a very basic black and white number, it's quite easy to make your own panda outfit if you're too strapped for cash to buy a ready-made one. The important thing is to remember which parts are supposed to be black (the arms, legs, chest, ears, and the area around the eyes) and which are supposed to be white (everything else). You can easily make your own panda suit by dyeing a white long-sleeved shirt and a pair of white pants black in the appropriate areas. The mask can be a bit trickier, but if you have some arts and crafts skills - and maybe a pattern that can be easily found online for free - then you can make one out of papier mache or black and white foam.

You can also play around with your panda costume by adding a few extra elements to it. Want to appear cute and cuddly, but also want to give off a kick-ass vibe at the same time? Add a pair of brown shorts and some leg bandages, and you can be Po from the animated movie Kung Fu Panda. Whatever you decide, just remember to have fun with it. That's what wearing costumes is all about, anyway.
