Rapunzel has always been one of the staples of the fairy tales we've heard as kids, but her place as a Disney princess has only been solidified recently thanks to the animated movie Tangled. If you're thinking about going as Rapunzel this Halloween, here are a few things to consider for your Rapunzel costume.

Rapunzel's most prominent characteristic is of course her long, golden hair. We're not just talking about knee-length hair here, though. Rapunzel's hair is so long it can be measured in storeys. There are plenty of long-haired wigs available for sale out there, but if you want to sport locks that you have to carry around because they're too long then you will likely have to make your own. This can be done with a little elbow grease, some ingenuity, and a whole lot of gold or yellow yarn or string. No matter what color outfit you want to wear, having the long flowing hair will make you instantly recognizable as one of the most recent Disney princesses. If you want to keep the spirit of your costume true to her look in Tangled, you'll want to opt for a purple, puffy sleeved dress with pink and white accents. The petticoat skirt of your Rapunzel costume should have the same color scheme along with a few frilly details here and there. Top it all off with a tiara to complete the princess look.
